OUR STORY
We are a husband and wife team that had a shared dream: create a sustainable vineyard in a world-class region to grow our favorite wine grapes.
It seemed a bit crazy, as at the time, we were two North Carolinians working corporate jobs. However, our love of the outdoors and desire for a new chapter had us longing to trade in our days full of conference calls for days working with our hands in the vineyard.
After a thoughtful pursuit, we ultimately found an ideal site nestled among some of the world’s most prestigious vineyards in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County. We knew this was the perfect opportunity to take the plunge…Bell Summe Vineyard was born!
With no formal background in the wine business, we poured ourselves into learning more and partnering with leading experts in their fields.
Most days, you can find us among the vines, pruning, suckering, tying, and weeding, while our dogs, Jack and Bella, roam the site on gopher patrol.

Megan Baccitich
Megan Baccitich is the vineyard and winemaker consultant for Bell Summe Vineyard. Megan provided a winemaker’s perspective in the vineyard development process. She partners with the Bells and Atlas Vineyard Management to offer farming guidance from a winemaker’s view, and to ensure Bell Summe Vineyard is optimally suited for highly respected vintner partners.
A Sonoma County native, Megan has worked in the wine industry for over 20 years, including over ten years as Director of Winemaking at prestigious Paul Hobbs Winery. She brings extensive knowledge, expertise, and an overall joyful attitude to
Bell Summe Vineyard.
